How it works

The full path from first message to a pack you can act on.

Overview

Six steps, one document at the end

Nothing here is unusual. The value is in doing each step in order and not skipping the verification pass.

01

You send the question

A message or a call is enough. We need to understand the decision, not a perfectly formed brief.

02

Scoping call

We agree the category or categories, the criteria, the budget band and the timescale. This is written down and sent to you.

03

Brief confirmed

Work starts once you confirm the written scope. The band is fixed at this point; it does not move unless the scope does.

04

Research and verification

Sources are gathered, compared, labelled and normalised. This is where most of the time goes.

05

Pack assembly

Findings become a referenced document with comparison tables, a ranked shortlist and a next-step checklist.

06

Handover call

We walk through the pack, answer questions and note anything you want taken further as a separate piece of work.

What to prepare

Three things that make a brief go faster

The decision

What you are trying to settle. “Which of these three categories has the better margin structure” is a better starting point than “find me a supplier”.

  • Name the decision
  • Say what is unresolved

The constraints

Anything that cannot move: budget band, volume, timescale, market, or a requirement that rules options out.

  • Budget band
  • Volume
  • Timescale
  • Rigid requirements

What you already know

Existing research, quotes or shortlists. It saves duplication and tells us where the real uncertainty sits.

  • Prior research
  • Existing quotes
  • Current shortlist
After handover

What happens next is yours

Independence

The decision is the client’s, always

When the pack lands, the next move is yours. We do not follow up to close an order, because we do not take orders. We do not receive anything from the parties described in a brief, so there is no pull on the outcome.

If you want a second piece of work — a different category, a deeper channel review, an updated brief six months later — that is a new scope, priced the same way.

  • No commission from described parties
  • No follow-up sales calls
  • New work is a new scoped brief
  • Datasets are archived and can be revisited

Ready to start?

Send the question and the constraints. The scoping call is free and does not commit you to a brief.
